The Nescorna Rocketworks construction blog will chronicle Alan’s thoughts, observations, techniques, etc. during various rocket building projects. Alan was a model rocketeer in his youth and became a BAR around 1994 when he resumed building and flying model rockets, this time around with his son and then both his children.

Alan grew up during the height of the Cold War space race, and watched, enthralled, as the program unfolded. His favorite Apollo flight is Dave Scott’s Apollo 15, because of the exceptional science he and his crew accomplished, and because of his creativity and attitude toward lunar geology.
